Pedersen for District 1
October 9, 2008
Linda Pedersen has the knowledge and experience necessary to
succeed on the Lake County Board.
Pedersen, a Republican, was legislative aide to the late State
Rep. Timothy Osmond and currently serves as aide to State Rep.
JoAnn Osmond, R-61st, of Antioch. She has also served on the
Lake County Community Development Board, as an Antioch
Township Trustee and as Senior Events Chairman for the
township.
District 1, which includes all or portions of Antioch, Lake Villa,
Lindenhurst, Fox Lake, Spring Grove and Old Mill Creek, faces
many issues, including traffic congestion, property assessments
and losing businesses to Wisconsin. Pedersen has the
experience to take on those challenges.
We endorse Linda Pedersen for District 1 of the Lake County
Board.
AND AGAIN BY THE
District 1
Republican Linda J. Pedersen is endorsed over Democrat
Peter V. Grant. Both are newcomers to replace incumbent
Judy Martini, who is not seeking re-election. Pedersen and
Grant each cite property taxes and roads as key issues, but
lack specific plans. Grant has no government experience,
which he says gives him a fresh approach. Pedersen is an
administrative aide for State Rep. Jo Ann Osmond and an
Antioch Township trustee (she says she will resign that seat
if elected), likely an edge in being effective for the district.
